1. Description: A group of elastomers, made from silicon, oxygen, and hydrogen, Silicones are renowned for their retention of flexibility and low compression set characteristics, within one of the widest working temperature ranges for elastomers.

2. COMPATIBILITY:

1). Chemical Resistance

2). Engine and transmission oil (e.g. ASTM oil No.1)
3). Animal and vegetable oil and grease
4). Brake fluid (non-petroleum base)
5). Fire-resistant hydraulic fluid, HFD-R and HFD-S
6). High molecular weight chlorinated aromatic hydrocarbons (including flame-resistant insulators, and coolant for transformers)
7). Moderate water resistance
8). Diluted salt solutions
9). Ozone, aging, and weather resistant

3. In the Silicone family, you will find compounds which are superior as static seals in extreme temperature conditions. Standard compounds handle operating temperatures -85º to +400ºF. Silicone compounds are popular in food and medical applications because they are very clean and do not impart odor or taste. Special Phenyl silicones can be used down to -148°F.
